Job Description

IEEFA is seeking a Petrochemicals Analyst to research India's petrochemical industry. This involves analyzing the economic implications, financial mechanisms, and market dynamics of petrochemicals in India. The analyst will conduct horizon scanning for industry developments, prepare forecasts, and collect economic data using established datasets. The role includes engaging with external stakeholders and collaborating with team members to produce original reports and commentaries. Responsibilities also include drafting, formatting, and proofing reports, submissions, press releases, and presentations, as well as other duties as assigned. Qualifications

1. 2-4 years of experience in economics or finance, preferably related to the Indian petrochemical industry (petrochemicals, agrochemicals, plastics). 2. A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering, or professional certifications (e.g. CFA) or relevant market-oriented experience. 3. Comprehensive experience in analyzing the industry's growth impact on the economy, financial reporting, stocks, and investment portfolios. 4. Proficient understanding of finance, economics, and quantitative analysis. 5. Understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape in the petrochemical industry, with a focus on India. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through publications and liaising with stakeholders. 7. High degree of technological proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn new software. 8. Commitment to IEEFA’s mission for a sustainable and profitable economy.
