Account Manager
Job Description
We are looking for an Account Manager to foster the growth, retention, and satisfaction of our valued house accounts. In this role, you will manage and expand existing accounts, identifying opportunities for expedited services, new lanes, northbound freight, and partial loads. You will also proactively identify potential challenges, such as competitor activities or service issues, and collaborate with leadership to implement effective solutions. Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and serve as the main point of contact between customers and our Customer Service Department (CSD). Additionally, you'll maintain regular follow-up calls to nurture account relationships, prepare performance reports, monitor route consistency, and address service lapses. Expect to dedicate approximately 50% or more of your time to in-person customer visits.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2. 3 to 7 years of experience in materials, materials planning, logistics, or purchasing/procurement. 3. Proven track record in maintaining and expanding B2B relationships. 4. Experience with Mexican customs and international trade regulations is highly preferred. 5. Automotive experience is a plus.
