VORTEX is an online atmospheric modeling service that provides high-precision modeled wind resource data and global wind estimates for onshore and offshore sites where measurements are unavailable. It runs on-demand non-linear WRF-based simulations on a supercomputer cluster to deliver measurement-like time series, virtual met mast outputs, regional maps, and forecasting products. Targeted at wind-farm developers, VORTEX offers automated, high-resolution, site-specific wind resource data and forecasting services.
