Job Description

We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for: Custom WordPress Development: Construct and maintain custom WordPress websites from Figma or design files utilizing advanced HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Front-End UI Implementation: Translate creative design concepts into pixel-perfect, responsive, and performant front-end interfaces. Theme and Plugin Customisation: Modify themes and plugins to suit specific client needs using PHP logic and JavaScript enhancements. Website Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Address bug fixes, performance optimizations, and regular WordPress core/plugin updates. Collaborative Project Execution: Partner with strategy and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences that align with project goals. Code Quality & Best Practices: Develop clean, reusable, scalable code with attention to detail and commitment to QA, testing, and debugging. Proactive Development Contribution: Share ideas to improve website performance, UX, and development workflow efficiency. Task & Time Management: Work within project timelines using tools like ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar, while maintaining communication.

Qualifications

The following skills and experience are required: 1. Strong proficiency in WordPress, including custom theme development 2. Expertise in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP. 3. Experience translating design files (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into responsive websites. 4. Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and SEO best practices. 5. Strong debugging skills and experience with version control (e.g. Git). 6. Ability to collaborate effectively with design, strategy, and content teams. 7. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once. It's a Bonus if you have: Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms. Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue). Experience making WordPress plugins.
