Utility Project Manager – Wastewater

Job Description

We are seeking a Utility Project Manager to oversee essential wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects across multiple communities. You will combine technical expertise with project management to ensure the protection of public health and the environment. Your responsibilities will include managing projects involving wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, collection systems, and stormwater/drainage improvements. You will also investigate and resolve system issues including plant upsets, lift station failures, and infiltration problems, as well as review technical specifications, scopes of work, and contracts for wastewater contractors. This role requires preparing detailed reports on system performance, capital projects, and compliance status.

Qualifications

1. 3-5 years of experience in wastewater, utility infrastructure, or environmental compliance 2. Knowledge of federal, state, and local wastewater regulations 3. Understanding of wastewater treatment processes and collection systems 4. Strong troubleshooting abilities for wastewater system issues 5. Experience with regulatory agencies and licensed operators 6. Willingness to travel 25% or more based on project needs 7. Ability to work in outdoor conditions and wastewater facilities
