Job Description

Join our team as a Travel Consultant and provide exceptional travel consulting services to our valued customers. Craft detailed travel arrangements, including airfare, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and limousine services. You'll support our principal advisor by addressing all travel-related aspects for their clients. Use your creativity to understand, evaluate, and support client assistance needs, offering professional advice to resolve travel and transportation issues. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures while prioritizing tasks to meet client needs. Finalize bookings using the Sabre reservation system, issuing tickets, exchanges, and refunds. Reconfirm travel plans, proactively addressing any problems that arise during the client's journey. Leverage internet resources to research destinations, accommodations, and travel advisories. Resolve customer service issues directly with vendors to ensure optimal outcomes for both clients and the company, while keeping the advisor informed. Utilize your knowledge of world geography and international requirements for seamless international travel planning.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree or three (3) years of full-time experience as a travel agent. 2. Strong knowledge of the Sabre reservation system, including GDS formats, pricing, and e-ticketing. 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently servicing client needs. 4. Strong verbal communication skills to effectively counsel clients on travel options. 5. Willingness to answer incoming phone calls and spend a significant portion of the day on client calls. 6. Excellent dispute resolution skills. 7. Well-organized and detail-oriented. 8. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. 9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
