Transitions Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Transitions Quality Engineer (TQE) will be instrumental in supporting Supply Chain’s Global Transitions team. Serving as a Quality leader, the TQE will focus on Global Transitions hardware, from the initial contract review phase through First Article Inspection approval. This role involves proactively mitigating risks using AS9145 tools such as PFMEA, PFD, PCP, MSA, and KPC Management. The TQE will ensure supplier compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures. A key responsibility is driving robust Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) from transitions suppliers in response to nonconformances and noncompliances, which will support a healthy quality signature and ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 2. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience. 3. Deep understanding of PW Quality Systems, ESA, MCL, and manufacturing processes. 4. Demonstrated experience in developing supplier relationships and improving quality signature. 5. Knowledge and understanding of P&W products and services offered. 6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Net Inspect, SAP, Qlik, CORE tools.
