Technical Product Manager – Integrations

Job Description

Take the lead in orchestrating the planning, implementation, and successful completion of multiple software integration initiatives, each typically spanning 4 to 6 weeks. Efficiently manage the team's task list and resource allocation using Linear, ensuring consistent assignment and maximizing team productivity. Proactively communicate updates on project progression, estimated timelines, potential scope adjustments, and unforeseen technical challenges. Act as a technical sales specialist or field application engineer. Engage directly with Tapi's clientele, including Property Managers in the UK, and internal sales/support teams to gain a deep understanding of their utilization of legacy platforms such as SME, RePIT, and ALTO. Convert operational requirements into comprehensive technical specifications and integration strategies for the development team. Collaborate closely with Tapi's Core Engineering team, particularly with key leaders, to synchronize integration efforts with the platform's evolving architecture and core data framework. Identify deficiencies or obstacles in third-party data structures and propose standardized solutions. Participate actively in presentations to showcase team accomplishments to the wider organization. Maintain consistent, asynchronous communication via Slack, becoming an integrated member of Tapi's internal team.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated proficiency in managing software projects using agile methodologies effectively. 2. Expertise in utilizing product/project management tools, ideally Linear. 3. In-depth technical understanding of software integrations, APIs, and database/data modeling. While coding is not required, the ability to communicate effectively with backend engineers is essential. 4. Familiarity with integration platforms like Prismatic and knowledge of languages such as Elixir or Ruby is advantageous. 5. Advanced proficiency in English is essential for daily interactions with teams in New Zealand, Australia, and clients in the UK. 6. Exhibit radical autonomy, capable of operating independently and proactively seeking tasks. 7. Possess strong client-facing skills, including empathy, patience, and the ability to extract meaningful insights from users working with outdated or poorly structured systems. 8. Demonstrate adaptability, with a willingness to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, handle ambiguity, and adjust to changing data architectures.
