Technical Lead

Job Description

Lead your development team as a Technical Lead at Nearform. You'll be responsible for successful project delivery, proactive blocker resolution, and upholding best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies. Collaborate directly with clients to translate requirements into technical specifications. Define architectural decisions ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability. Keep clients and Nearform leadership updated to facilitate informed decision-making.

Qualifications

1. Extensive background in software engineering, either as a Senior Engineer leading projects and mentoring, or as a Technical Lead. Expertise with JavaScript or Python technologies is preferred. 2. Proven experience working directly with clients to gather and understand technical requirements. 3. Demonstrated ability to lead software engineering teams through technical delivery, whether through direct line management or mentoring. 4. Comprehensive understanding of agile methodologies, best practices, and design patterns. 5. Solid grasp of test-driven development and effective testing strategies. 6. Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git. 7. Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). 8. Awareness of operational concerns, including monitoring, performance testing, security considerations, and accessibility (GDPR). 9. Excellent empathy and interpersonal skills.
