Technical Co-founder – CTO, AI Staffing Platform

Job Description

As a Strategic Co-Founder, commit to sustainable equity appreciation and long-term organizational value. Lead the architecture and maintenance of "Ava’s" voice and workflow systems with a focus on uptime and low latency. Design the RaaS delivery layer, enabling the team to configure, monitor, and optimize AI performance, ensuring service scalability without increasing engineering headcount. Manage the trade-offs between AI quality and cost-per-call, ensuring the technical architecture remains highly profitable. Exercise judgment in navigating technical uncertainty, protecting product integrity and user trust. Drive a deep ownership mindset, taking full accountability for the end-to-end technical lifecycle. Master scope and feasibility, partnering with the Founder to define the product roadmap. Scale the engineering culture, building and leading a lean, high-leverage technical team. Act as the technical face of LexStaffing during fundraising and due diligence.

Qualifications

1. 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. 2. Direct experience with voice systems, conversational AI, or real-time AI workflows. 3. Experience deploying LLM-powered systems into production. 4. Capability to architect and implement the strategy for building and self-hosting custom models. 5. Strong understanding of: Reliability engineering, Human-in-the-loop systems, Edge-case management. 6. Experience building service-heavy or managed platforms. 7. Comfort working closely with business leadership and owning delivery outcomes. 8. Good to have: Experience in legal tech, healthcare, or other trust-sensitive verticals, Experience running production systems with real-world users under time pressure, Prior founder or early-stage leadership experience.
