Tech Lead – Payments, Cards

Job Description

As a Tech Lead for Payments and Cards, you will: Define the technical strategy for card and payment products in collaboration with product teams and partners. Design and develop card issuance, authorization, and settlement systems for credit, debit, and prepaid cards. Take ownership of real-time transaction processing flows and ensure system reliability. Lead architectural decisions in distributed, API-first systems. Manage and develop integrations with card processors, VISA networks, and KYC providers. Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions. Act as a liaison between business and engineering teams, removing obstacles and ensuring clarity. Stay hands-on with Go development, actively contributing to production systems. Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our financial infrastructure.

Qualifications

Key requirements include: 1. Extensive experience in fintech, payments, or card systems. 2. Hands-on experience with the Go programming language. 3. A background in distributed systems and API-first architectures. 4. Experience with real-time transaction processing or similar high-reliability systems. 5. Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud). 6. A solid understanding of the card lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, and settlement. 7. Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering decisions.
