Job Description

As a Systems Engineer II, you will: Monitor and maintain all production system equipment and services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Ensure 24/7 availability of the Bullhorn production application environments, participating in a rotating weekend on-call schedule. Mentor other Systems Engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Create comprehensive documentation of technical environments, processes, and procedures. Provide direct support to Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support, Professional Services, and third-party vendors, resolving production issues efficiently. Maintain network and systems configurations globally across multiple data centers. Develop system analysis and reporting tools, as well as tools for task automation, enhancing operational efficiency. Participate in the planning and execution of new product deployment and enhancement projects, ensuring preparedness in servicing the product.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Systems Engineer II, you'll need: 1. 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills. 2. Proficiency in Windows Server environments (Server 2016/2019/2022/2025, Windows Server Core). 3. Experience with CentOS/RHEL or Debian Linux. 4. Hands-on experience with VMware ESX/ESXi. 5. Expertise in managing containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. 6. Experience operating infrastructure that supports .Net Framework, .NET Core, or IIS-based applications. 7. Familiarity with iSCSI SAN environments. 8. Proficiency in Log Management using ELK, Splunk, Sumo Logic, or similar tools. 9. Skilled in one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP. 10. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, C#, Python, and Batch. 11. Previous experience in a SaaS or high-volume website environment is a plus. 12. Experience in automating and managing large server environments. 13. Solid understanding of RAID storage. 14. Prior on-call experience. Bonus points for: LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory, NAS technologies (FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc), Open Source Project experience, Ansible/Puppet/CFEngine, Windows Failover Clustering and Hyper-V virtualization, System Center suite (SCCM, SCOM) or Microsoft Endpoint Manager, PowerShell DSC/Ansible/Puppet for Windows environments
