System Reliability Test Engineer
Job Description
As a System Reliability Test Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of our automated robotic systems. Your responsibilities will include: • Conducting thorough inspections of systems associated with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) and Automated Adapters/Lifts. • Providing ongoing support by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing, or modifying system components to optimize performance. • Utilizing your expertise in troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), executing SQL queries, and following test plans using tools like Test Rail, Jira, and SharePoint. • Communicating effectively any schedule-impacting issues and propose solutions to team members, including estimated repair times. • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment by cleaning equipment and removing replaced parts. • Performing minor utility tasks such as machining holes, brackets, cutting steel, and aligning sensors. • Managing troubleshooting, calibration, setup, and tool changes on robotic arms. • Adhering to 5S policies and maintaining a clean workspace. • Upholding safety standards in compliance with OSHA, Symbotic, and customer processes. • Assisting in the training and onboarding of new team members. • Performing other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure system reliability.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: 1. Associate degree or equivalent experience/certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining mechanical systems, with electro-mechanical experience highly preferred. 3. Proficiency in basic Excel and PowerPoint skills for data analysis, chart production, and pivot tables. 4. Understanding of basic networking concepts, including IP addresses, MAC addresses, and SSH. 5. Advanced troubleshooting skills, including the ability to interpret CAD drawings and maintenance manuals. 6. Ability to work independently while following procedures and manuals. 7. Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and adjust priorities based on business needs.
