Job Description

Lead the strategic expansion of American Forests' revenue through philanthropy. Develop and implement a multi-year strategy aligned with organizational growth, focusing on major donors and institutional funders. Cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, securing seven- and eight-figure gifts. Partner with the CEO and CRO to set revenue targets and manage fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Manage a portfolio of top-tier donors and represent American Forests at high-level events, driving philanthropic growth and flexible funding commitments.

Qualifications

1. 12+ years of progressive fundraising experience, emphasizing major and principal gifts. 2. Proven success in securing seven- and eight-figure gifts. 3. Expertise in managing complex donor relationships. 4. Experience working with senior executives. 5. Strategic thinking to translate priorities into funding opportunities. 6. Executive presence, judgment, and discretion. 7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Experience managing multi-million-dollar accounts. 9. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. 10. Demonstrated expertise in non-profit fundraising. 11. Familiarity with environmental, conservation, climate, or land-use sectors. 12. Familiarity with family offices and institutional philanthropy. 13. Experience in a growth-stage nonprofit organization.
