Supplier Performance Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Supplier Performance Engineer and play a crucial role in ensuring our suppliers meet GE Grid Solutions' standards. You'll foster strong relationships with suppliers, driving performance targets in quality, delivery, and cost. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address competency gaps through improvement plans. Work with product lines to resolve customer-related issues. Contribute to expanding our supply base globally by identifying and developing new suppliers. Communicate openly and honestly, providing leadership during investigations and projects.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2. Experience in quality engineering and/or purchasing within a manufacturing environment (raw material, stamping, fabrications, assembly). 3. Auditing experience with ISO 9001 standards. 4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with Lean Six Sigma knowledge. 5. Fluency in English (written and verbal). Bilingual preferred. 6. Experience in low-cost country supply chains. 7. Ability to interpret technical procedures, drawings, and regulations. 8. Strong communication skills with suppliers. 9. Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization. 10. Ability to work independently. 11. Strong customer and supplier relation skills. 12. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and Windows Operating Systems. 14. Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
