Staff/Senior Software Engineer – Platform

Job Description

Join Qdrant as a Staff/Senior Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our core platform. You'll be responsible for designing and evolving platform services and internal APIs that empower multiple teams. Dive into architectural initiatives like gRPC migration and platform refactors. Build robust platform abstractions that streamline operations for other teams. Write high-quality Go code and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance scalability and reliability. Contribute to long-term solutions and support production systems, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems software engineering. 2. Strong proficiency in Go and Python, or expertise in one with willingness to work with both. 3. Solid experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures. 4. Strong understanding of distributed systems and API design. 5. Experience building and operating production systems for other engineers or teams. 6. Ownership mindset and clear communication skills. 7. Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) is a plus. 8. Familiarity with Kubernetes operators or cluster-level abstractions is a plus. 9. Background in SaaS, database, or systems-level product companies is a plus. 10. Contributions to open-source projects is a plus.
