Staff React Native Engineer

Job Description

Kraken is seeking a Staff React Native Engineer to spearhead the technical vision and architecture of our Pro mobile application. In this role, you'll construct and manage high-performance mobile applications utilizing React Native and TypeScript. You will be leading initiatives to enhance app performance, reliability, and scalability, such as improving startup time, responsiveness, and resource efficiency. Act as a technical leader across teams, ensuring codebase consistency and quality. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver user-focused features. Lead in critical production issue resolution, defining engineering standards and tooling for mobile development. Mentor engineers, and stay updated on strategic, platform-level code.

Qualifications

1. Requires 8+ years in software engineering, emphasizing mobile development. 2. Extensive expertise in React Native and TypeScript is crucial. 3. Proven experience in owning or leading large-scale mobile applications. 4. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of mobile performance optimization and debugging. 5. Ability to deliver measurable improvements to app performance. 6. Solid knowledge of iOS and Android platforms is essential. 7. Experience in cross-team collaboration on shared platforms is needed. 8. A proactive, ownership-driven mindset is preferred.
