Job Description

Join Spotify's Personalization team as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, where you'll design, scale, build, integrate, and refine reward signals for podcast recommendations through hands-on machine learning development. You'll promote and model best practices in ML systems development, testing, and evaluation, leading collaborations to integrate and A/B test signals in recommendation systems to enhance user experiences and engagement.

Qualifications

1. Strong background in machine learning. 2. Expertise in statistics and optimization. 3. Experience in sequential models, transformers, generative AI, and large language models. 4. Hands-on experience with large cross-collaborative machine learning projects. 5. Hands-on experience implementing production machine learning systems at scale in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages. 6. Experience with PyTorch, Ray, Hugging Face, and related tools. 7. Experience with large-scale, distributed data processing frameworks/tools like Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Scio. 8. Proficiency with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS. 9. Passion for agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and disciplined experimentation.
