Staff Engineer, Java Testing

Job Description

Nagarro is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend automation frameworks using Java. You'll perform REST API automation testing with Rest Assured, validate microservices architectures, and collaborate with developers and DevOps teams. Responsibilities include analyzing system behavior, identifying defects, optimizing backend queries, integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring scalability. Drive continuous improvement and take ownership of automation initiatives to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5.5 years of total experience. 2. Extensive background in Backend Automation Testing. 3. Deep expertise in Java with analytical and problem-solving skills. 4. Hands-on experience using Rest Assured for REST API automation. 5. Comprehensive understanding of Microservices Architecture (MSA). 6. Proven experience testing complex systems involving multiple interconnected microservices. 7. Sound knowledge of Database Testing (SQL/NoSQL queries). 8. Experience in building automation frameworks from the ground up. 9. Familiarity with Apache Kafka or event-driven architectures. 10. Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI. 11. Experience in B2B/B2C applications within the FMCG domain. 12. Strong understanding of backend system behavior and debugging. 13. Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and distributed teams.
