Staff Engineer, Appium

Job Description

Nagarro is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java. The role involves performing REST API automation testing using Rest Assured, as well as mobile automation testing using Appium and web testing using Selenium. The successful candidate will validate and test complex microservices-based architectures, collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams, and analyze system behavior to identify defects. This position also requires executing database validations, supporting backend testing, integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring automation scalability and maintainability.

Qualifications

1. Over 5.5 years of total experience in software development and testing. 2. Strong background in Test Automation Framework development. 3. Proficiency in Core Java. 4. Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for REST API automation. 5. Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium. 6. Experience in web automation using Selenium WebDriver. 7. Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture (MSA). 8. Experience testing complex systems with interconnected microservices. 9. Good knowledge of Database Testing (SQL/NoSQL queries). 10. Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch. 11. Familiarity with Apache Kafka or event-driven architectures. 12. Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI. 13. Understanding of backend system behavior and debugging. 14. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams.
