Staff Data Scientist

Job Description

Lyric is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. This role involves mining and analyzing data from claims databases to optimize product development, sales, marketing techniques, and business strategies. The successful candidate will assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources, develop custom data models and algorithms, and use predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences, revenue generation, and ad targeting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to implement models and monitor outcomes, as well as developing processes and tools for monitoring model performance and data accuracy, including responsible AI.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of five (5) years experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models 2. Advanced level SQL coding & query optimization 3. Experience with healthcare data and standard UB/HCFA claim fields 4. Experience with data in Snowflake on Cloud Platforms 5. Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and generate insights from large data sets. 6. Experience working with Java, Spark and/or Python 7. Experience working in Project Management tools (Jira, Confluence)
