SQL / Oracle Programmer Analyst
Job Description
We are actively seeking a Programmer Analyst with significant experience in enterprise software development, including expertise in SQL and Oracle programming. The ideal candidate will contribute to cloud-based modernization projects. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing and refactoring legacy application logic, such as PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and Crystal Reports, for migration to a modern AWS-based architecture. Documenting and understanding existing business logic, application architecture, data models, workflows, and stored procedures. Collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors to clarify requirements and support modernization initiatives. Supporting the redesign of core application functionality, including modules for records, classification, and sentence computation. Ensuring accurate operation within the updated system. Rewriting and optimizing Oracle PL/SQL packages, functions, triggers, and views for cloud environment migration. Extracting, mapping, validating, and transforming data to support ETL and database conversion activities. Analyzing, documenting, and refactoring core logic modules, such as sentence computation processes. Converting legacy DHTML-based UI forms to modern formats as part of system redesign. Understanding and documenting scheduled jobs and backend automation processes.
Qualifications
Key skills and qualifications include: 1. Expert knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and views. 2. Strong SQL expertise, encompassing query optimization and performance tuning. 3. Experience with data migration, ETL workflows, and schema transformation. 4. Ability to comprehend logic from legacy applications and undocumented code. 5. Familiarity with legacy front-end technologies such as DHTML and HTML/JavaScript forms. 6. Experience with task schedulers for data automation. 7. Experience with AWS database and reporting services. 8. Knowledge of BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight. 9. Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell. 10. Experience with Offender Management or enterprise justice systems. 11. Experience collaborating with external vendor teams on modernization projects.
