Software Engineer II – Frontend

Job Description

Join our team as a Software Engineer II, where you'll use LLMs to boost development speed while delivering production-ready code. You will design, develop, and maintain features in a large React web application for global professional traders. Your responsibilities include owning performance by profiling, measuring, and optimizing real-time UI updates. You'll also build and enhance the WebSocket and Web Worker layer that supports live market data, set code quality standards, contribute to technical strategy, and ensure performance improvements with regression-resistant patterns and monitoring. Finally, you will take ownership of observability and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

1. 4+ years of experience in software development with a focus on web applications. 2. Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with the React ecosystem. 3. Experience building real-time UIs with WebSockets and Web Workers. 4. Proficient React and JavaScript performance skills. 5. Experience with LLM coding tools like Cursor, Claude, or Copilot. 6. Hands-on experience with React Query or similar. 7. Practical experience with production user monitoring and observability. 8. Experience with frontend testing. 9. Comfortable with feature flagging and progressive rollouts. 10. Familiarity with frontend build pipelines and tooling (rsbuild/webpack/SWC, TypeScript project references).
