Software Engineer – Applied AI

Job Description

Join DevRev as a Forward Deployed Engineer and develop AI solutions that integrate seamlessly with customer tech stacks. You will spend 30% of your time working directly with customers, while the remaining 70-80% will be focused on hands-on technical implementation. Your core responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and launching AI agents, integrations, and automations to connect DevRev with customer workflows. - Integrating DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS platforms via APIs, webhooks, and real-time communication architectures. - Optimizing AI performance through prompt engineering and fine-tuning semantic search engines. - Analyzing data and building dashboards to provide actionable insights for customer decision-making. - Prototyping and iterating on solutions based on customer feedback. - Leading cross-functional collaboration between customers, engineering, product, and support teams. - Guiding customers through code repository integrations and advanced configurations.

Qualifications

1. 3+ years in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering. Customer-facing experience is a plus. 2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 3. Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, data structures and algorithms. (Nice to have: Go) 4. Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and frameworks like RAG and function calling. 5. Experience with large-scale data synchronization, API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks), and event-driven architectures. 6. Hands-on experience deploying on serverless and edge platforms (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers, observability). 7. Skilled in data mapping, schema alignment, and working with heterogeneous systems. 8. Experience implementing clear logging, actionable error surfacing, and telemetry. 9. Familiarity with Model Context Programming (MCP). 10. Strong track record triaging and unblocking both technical and non-technical blockers. 11. Experience writing concise, well-structured documentation. 12. Strong written and verbal skills.
