Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II at S&P Global, you will: 1. Develop automation/performance scripts that align with organizational standards, creating reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites and test harnesses for Salesforce and related technologies. 2. Utilize tools and frameworks to construct high-quality automation/performance scripts, simplifying testing scenarios. 3. Design and develop test plans and cases based on functional and design specifications. Execute test cases, analyze, and report test results to the team. 4. Collaborate with development teams to deliver business functionality on schedule, ensuring quality meets acceptance criteria. 5. Engage in internal and cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, and technical reviews within an Agile environment. 6. Actively participate in functional, system, and regression testing activities. 7. Capture quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions. 8. Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery. 9. Contribute to the success of Order to Cash projects (primarily Salesforce/Oracle) within the broader testing team. 10. Ensure best practices are followed and testing activities remain on schedule. 11. Maintain Behavior Driven Development (BDD)/TDD practices and DevOps/CI in an Agile scrum/SAFe model. 12. Apply problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills, considering multiple options and factors to propose solutions. 13. Communicate complex technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. 14. Leverage experience in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you should have: 1. 3 years of overall experience, with at least 1+ years in a QA Automation role. 2. Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Lifecycle. 3. Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices and experience with Agile methodologies. 4. Experience with performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner/Performance Center/StormRunner, and JMeter. 5. Proficiency in programming languages like Python/C#/Java. 6. Experience in designing and developing automated tests using tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) across application layers (UI/Service/Data) and conducting root cause analysis. 7. Experience testing in CI, DevOps, and rolling deployment/upgrade models. 8. Ability to advise the team on identifying automatable test cases at different layers (UI, Services, and Data). 9. Ability to work with developers to build automation/performance-friendly code. 10. Strong understanding of Test Strategy, including design and implementation. 11. Strong understanding of Salesforce platform testing strategies. 12. Experience with continuous integration and source control tools, with a preference for GitHub and Jenkins. 13. Solid understanding of building and using automation frameworks. 14. Strong Salesforce QA and Automation background with experience in identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases, and testing results. 15. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, critical thinking, and solid communication. 16. Experience being an integrated part of a Scrum/Agile engineering team, working interactively with software engineers, testing engineers, and product managers. 17. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to varied audiences. 18. Willingness to work in Evening/Night shifts.
