Site Manager
Job Description
This Site Manager position involves approximately 90% travel throughout the United States, focusing on the construction, building, and commissioning of electrical substations. Responsibilities span from site mobilization through civil, erection, and commissioning phases, alongside comprehensive management duties. Key responsibilities include influencing project approaches, ensuring quality and efficiency within the team, contributing to priority setting, and adhering to professional standards and policies. The role offers moderate autonomy, demanding strong operational judgment. As a site manager, you will oversee all site activities during the project lifecycle, reporting directly to the project leader. This encompasses leading site teams, managing project execution, and ensuring compliance with schedules, quality standards, costs, company policies, and local regulations. Furthermore, the role involves developing specialized knowledge, serving as a quality resource, staying informed about industry best practices, and making informed decisions on complex tasks. Responsibilities also include mentoring colleagues, leading small to medium-sized projects, and effectively communicating information to build consensus within the team and with stakeholders.
Qualifications
1. A Master’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of leadership experience, or a high school diploma/GED with hands-on electrical construction experience and at least 6 years of leadership experience. 2. Must possess a valid Driver's License. 3. Relevant experience includes site leadership for electrical substation projects. 4. Possess strong oral and written communication skills. 5. Exhibit strong interpersonal and leadership abilities. 6. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems effectively. 7. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and site execution activities. 8. Ability to document, plan, and execute work efficiently. 9. Proven project management skills. 10. Strong understanding of EHS standards and OSHA training.
