Senior Web Developer

Job Description

Elev8.io is seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead technical development for impactful websites. Key responsibilities include: - Building and optimizing WordPress websites from the ground up. - Architecting scalable layout systems using semantic HTML, Flexbox, and CSS Grid. - Developing responsive page structures across multiple breakpoints. - Customizing and stabilizing advanced Elementor builds. - Implementing clean, maintainable frontend code for long-term scalability. - Optimizing sites for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP). - Improving site speed, stability, and accessibility. - Supporting schema implementation and technical SEO best practices. - Identifying and resolving technical issues proactively. - Continuously auditing and improving performance benchmarks. - Performing PHP-level modifications to enhance site and plugin performance. - Managing plugin customization, compatibility, and troubleshooting. - Executing API integrations within WordPress workflows. - Handling hosting environments, staging setups, and full-site migrations (including DNS management). - Troubleshooting server-level and environment-related issues. - Collaborating daily with SEO, PPC, Web Design, and Client Success teams. - Ensuring flawless tracking scripts, forms, and CRM integrations. - Maintaining clean task documentation inside ClickUp. - Providing technical guidance and QA review. - Balancing delivery speed with technical excellence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need: 1. 5-8+ years of web development experience, preferably in an agency or performance-driven setting. 2. Deep expertise in WordPress development and Elementor customization. 3. Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, Next.js, Git, and JavaScript. 4. Strong understanding of asynchronous JavaScript and DOM manipulation. 5. Experience optimizing websites for Core Web Vitals and technical SEO standards. 6. Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS management, and website migrations. 7. Strong debugging skills to independently solve complex technical issues. 8. Proficiency with ClickUp, Slack, Zoom, and collaborative workflows. 9. Clear English communication skills (verbal and written). 10. Ability to remain calm under pressure, structured in execution, and performance-focused.
