Senior VFX Artist

Job Description

People Can Fly is looking for a Senior VFX Artist to create and implement particle- and shader-related special effects, seamlessly integrating them into gameplay or cinematics. Mentor and provide feedback while ensuring visual effects meet performance budgets, using visual scripting to drive VFX logic. Responsibilities include: - Maintaining artistic direction and quality. - Producing high-quality visual effects that are technically and artistically appropriate for the project's world and visual direction. - Collaborating with the Art Director to define the artistic vision and uphold quality standards throughout development. - Translating art concepts and other game design documents into prototypes and implementing them as real-time visual effects in the game. - Overseeing and facilitating the creation of ambient effects that enhance atmosphere, tell a story, and bring the world to life.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have: 1. Proven experience as a Visual Effects artist. 2. Knowledge of stylized effects. 3. Shader development skills. 4. Experience with particle systems (Niagara, VFX Graph, Houdini). 5. Proficiency in Maya or equivalent software. 6. Excellent communication skills. 7. Proactive problem-solving ability. 8. Strong expertise in real-time stylized visual effects, shader creation, and visual scripting (Blueprint-like systems). 9. Proficiency in English.
