Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team at Leidos, tackling challenging problems in electric transmission. As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer, you'll contribute to HV and EHV system design projects. Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other relevant standards in engineering and design. Key tasks include performing engineering analyses, preparing bidding and construction documents, and working closely with a multi-person Leidos team, clients, and construction management personnel. You will also be involved in developing project scopes, budgets, and proposals. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. 2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in electric utility transmission systems design. 3. Experience reviewing transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models. 4. Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements. 5. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. 6. Proven communication skills with clients and project teams. 7. Leadership experience (required for Senior and SME Level). 8. Expertise in PLS-CADD and POLE. 9. Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) License. 10. Experience with PLS TOWER, Bentley ProjectWise, Mathcad, Autodesk AutoCAD, LPILE, Construction Management, and EPC projects.
