Join iwoca as a Senior Technical Writer and play a crucial role in shaping how people interact with our products daily. This isn't just about creating documentation; it's about making a tangible impact on user experience and business efficiency. Here’s what you’ll do: * Maintain and enhance existing documentation, ensuring it remains relevant and effective. * Document new products from their inception, establishing documentation standards proactively. * Manage end-to-end documentation migration projects, from scoping improvements to securing team buy-in and overseeing delivery, covering operations and people documentation. * Prioritize tasks based on impact, setting documentation quality benchmarks, and determining when documentation is complete. * Guide new departments in adopting the Handbook, explaining the value of using Git for knowledge sharing and either lead migrations or provide support. * Mentor fellow technical writers, refining their skills through constructive reviews and sharing effective project management techniques. * Champion culture change, recognizing that documentation practices suitable for a startup need adaptation for a scaling AI-driven company.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need: 1. 5+ years of proven experience in technical writing and editing. 2. Proficiency in Git, using it daily and teaching others. 3. Demonstrated experience in running comprehensive documentation projects, from planning to execution. 4. Ability to influence cross-functional teams to adopt new practices. 5. Experience leveraging AI tools for editorial scaling, including directing AI for reviews and workflow automation. Bonus points for: * Background in documenting financial services or lending. * Programming skills in Python or shell scripting. * Exceptional interpersonal skills to align teams with diverse objectives.
