Senior Technical Project Manager – CMS

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and execute complex AWS cloud migration initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of customer environment upgrades. You will oversee comprehensive assessments of customer environments, document testing dependencies, and define technical requirements and migration-specific changes for the AWS cloud platform. Partner with Customer Success executives and managers to develop and present AWS migration strategies to customers. You will also develop detailed AWS migration timelines in collaboration with customers and internal teams. Coordinate with internal technical teams including engineering, operations, product management, and security. Triage customer-reported testing issues and provide escalation support for high-priority blocking issues. Develop and manage overall program/project plans and timelines. Identify and manage project risks and issues, driving resolution of roadblocks. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders and executive leadership.

Qualifications

1. BA/BS degree in a related field 2. 8 + years of experience managing large-scale, enterprise-class, software delivery 3. Proven experience managing teams of 10+ resources within a matrixed environment 4. Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution phases 5. Strong understanding of AWS platform, infrastructure components, and migration methodologies 6. Proven track record of direct customer engagement, relationship management, and translating technical concepts for business stakeholders 7. Solid understanding/experience with project management tools (Smartsheet preferred) 8. Experience managing projects using Scrum Agile software development framework 9. Familiarity with AWS services, architecture, migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Database Migration Service, Server Migration Service), and deployment strategies 10. Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate technical and business risks 11. Understanding of healthcare payor workflows including claims processing, benefits configuration, member enrollment, correspondence, medical management, and provider contracting 12. Strong knowledge of industry business practices and value offerings 13. Experience with healthcare data security requirements (PHI/PII handling)
