Senior Strategic Sourcing Project Manager
Job Description
Fiserv is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Project Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for custom hardware components, including mechanical parts, display modules, printed circuit boards, cables, connectors, and electromechanical assemblies. The role involves driving request for proposal and request for quotation processes, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract development for global supply categories. Partner with Engineering to influence supplier selection, manufacturability, design-for-manufacturing, and design-for-excellence decisions early in the product development lifecycle. Own sourcing workstreams for new product introduction and sustaining programs, including milestones, timelines, deliverables, risk tracking, and mitigation planning. Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support supplier qualification, tooling readiness, first article inspection, production part approval process, and production ramp execution. Develop category strategies that support dual sourcing, long-term supplier roadmaps, design-to-cost initiatives, should-cost analysis, and value analysis and value engineering opportunities. Lead supplier business reviews, performance scorecards, and continuous improvement efforts to improve quality, delivery, capacity, and supply continuity.
Qualifications
1. 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management supporting custom hardware components in a product-based environment 2. 6+ years of experience leading sourcing activities for new product introduction programs, including supplier selection, qualification, and transition to mass production 3. 6+ years of experience negotiating commercial terms, including pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, tooling amortization, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and supply agreements 4. Experience using project management methods to manage cross-functional timelines, sourcing milestones, risk registers, and executive status communication 5. Experience evaluating manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership across mechanical parts, display components, printed circuit boards, cables, and assemblies
