Senior Sound Programmer

Job Description

As a Senior Sound Programmer, you'll be instrumental in the creation and maintenance of audio systems within Unreal Engine. Your duties include: 1. Implementing and providing support for audio systems and features in Unreal Engine. 2. Assisting in the development and upkeep of sound designer tools and pipelines. 3. Integrating and supporting audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) in collaboration with senior colleagues. 4. Helping to implement and refine runtime audio behaviors, mixing, and spatialization. 5. Working closely with Sound Designers to integrate, debug, and refine audio content in-game. 6. Connecting gameplay systems, animation, UI, and other features with audio systems under supervision. 7. Debugging and fixing audio-related problems throughout the development process. 8. Ensuring implemented features adhere to performance and technical criteria. 9. Contributing to documentation and following established technical standards. 10. Collaborating with the team to identify problems and suggest solutions.

Qualifications

To thrive as a Senior Sound Programmer, you should possess: 1. 2-4 years of professional experience in an Audio Programmer role or similar. 2. Experience working on game development projects (AAA experience is preferred). 3. Strong programming skills in C++. 4. Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine. 5. Familiarity with audio middleware like Wwise or FMOD. 6. A solid understanding of real-time audio systems and interactive audio concepts. 7. Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.). 8. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and continuous learning abilities. 9. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Audio, Design, Engineering, QA). 10. Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
