Senior Software Engineer, Perception

Job Description

Join AeroVect as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to the development of perception systems for ground handling automation. This role involves training, deploying, and monitoring 2D/3D object detection models using camera, LiDAR, and radar data. You will build and maintain data collection, labeling, and evaluation pipelines, ensuring high-quality datasets for training and evaluation. Additionally, you will architect a deterministic secondary perception system and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Deep Learning, or a related field. 2. 3+ years of practical experience in perception (sensing, preprocessing, detection, tracking). 3. Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS2. 4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously. 5. PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline (preferred). 6. Experience developing CUDA kernels (preferred).
