Senior Software Engineer, Networking FDE

Job Description

Take the lead in shaping and maintaining the network transport layer, ensuring seamless software connectivity across diverse operational environments. Be instrumental in integrating and resolving issues within data flows across tactical radio systems. Develop multi-bridge configurations that effectively manage heterogeneous network segments. Serve as the primary point of contact for identifying and addressing network-level challenges. Transform real-world operational insights into clear, actionable technical requirements for development teams, ensuring the software meets practical needs.

Qualifications

1. Must possess an active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). 2. Requires 5+ years of experience in network engineering, tactical communications, or IT infrastructure within military or high-security settings. 3. Requires 2+ years of hands-on technical experience with tactical radio systems and their IP networking capabilities. 4. Demonstrable proficiency in network fundamentals, including subnetting, VLANs, routing, NAT, security policies, and troubleshooting. 5. A highly adaptable problem-solving approach is essential. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate operational realities to development teams.
