Senior Software Engineer I

Job Description

CDW is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to collaborate with business teams, clarifying requirements and business needs. This role involves developing system applications to CDW coding standards and quality. The engineer will technically manage complex and large-scale project efforts in development, maintenance, and enhancements of business system applications. Collaboration with other developers is essential to determine the optimal solution architecture, ensuring application efficiency, maintainability, and scalability. This includes developing high-level system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes, along with system test plans to validate that business goals are accomplished. The role also requires utilizing an object-oriented software lifecycle methodology (SAFe, Agile) and serving as a mentor/technical resource for other Application Developers.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, OR 9 years of experience in IT, including 5 years of experience in Software Engineering. 2. .Net Developer skillset with expertise in MicroServices, REST API Development, C#, eCommerce Experience, Entity Framework, TFS/GIT, MSTest/NUnit. 3. Strong Micro API development skills in .Net & .NET Core. 4. Utilization of CI/CD tooling and practices for scalability like Docker, Kubernetes, Octopus, etc. 5. Experience with MongoDB and SQL Server. 6. Azure development experience – Function apps, logic apps, etc. 7. Working knowledge of React for front-end application development. 8. Demonstrated resourcefulness in the software development process and creative problem-solving skill such as Agile Development process. 9. Ability to perform effective code reviews and recommend automated review tools for the team. 10. Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices. 11. Expertise in Object Oriented Design and programming techniques. 12. Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate details and impacts of proposed software solutions. 13. Proven knowledge in all stages of the software development life cycle.
