Job Description

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to spearhead the technical design and implementation of intricate integrations, from initial concept to successful production deployment. This role involves making key architectural decisions regarding APIs, authentication protocols, event handling, and data synchronization methods. The ideal candidate will identify and extract reusable patterns from integration projects, aiming to minimize the marginal cost of future development efforts. Responsibilities include ensuring all integrations are observable, secure, highly resilient, and easily maintainable. A key aspect is providing proactive technical leadership through collaborative design discussions and thorough code reviews. You will also mentor fellow engineers, consistently improving the team's overall quality and effectiveness. Collaboration with various engineering teams is essential to clarify ownership boundaries and efficiently manage shared infrastructure. Additionally, the role contributes to strategic prioritization by carefully weighing the trade-offs between immediate deliverables and long-term platform investments. The candidate will leverage cutting-edge tools, including AI-assisted development, to boost productivity and maintain high quality. The role also involves participation in an on-call rotation to provide service support.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated full-stack proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. 2. Proven experience with SQL databases, ideally Postgres, including comprehensive data modeling, optimized query performance, and maintaining data integrity at scale. 3. Extensive experience in designing and constructing production-grade APIs and integrations. 4. A deep understanding of authentication mechanisms, authorization protocols, and secure data exchange techniques. 5. Solid experience with event-driven systems, webhooks, and distributed reliability patterns. 6. Ability to thoughtfully evaluate trade-offs between immediate delivery needs and long-term architectural considerations. 7. Experience influencing technical direction and establishing robust standards within a team.
