Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Join ConnectWise as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems. Engage in an Agile/Scrum framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos. Debug production issues, improve organizational engineering standards, and evaluate code for validity and industry alignment. Influence the Software Engineering team through clear explanations and mentorship.

Qualifications

1. 5 years to 8 years of relevant experience. 2. Proven experience in Agile environments, proficient in iterative development and collaboration with Product and QA. 3. Proficiency in Golang is required; candidates with expert-level Java or Python experience willing to transition to Go will be considered. 4. Deep familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker and Kubernetes). 5. Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems capable of handling high traffic and large-scale datasets. 6. Strong proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases. 7. Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
