Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Sr. Software Engineer at Bloomerang, you will be a driving force behind our mission to empower nonprofits. You will shape the technical direction of our platform, collaborating with Product, QA, and Engineering to deliver impactful SaaS solutions. You'll lead in an agile environment, embrace AI-driven development, and mentor a high-performing team. Responsibilities include owning the technical vision for your domain, resolving complex technical issues, championing Agile workflows, conducting code reviews, and using AI tools for coding and problem-solving. You will also mentor junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and ownership mindset, positively impacting their growth and team performance.

Qualifications

1. Full-Stack Proficiency: Expertise in .NET (C#) and TypeScript/Node, with React.JS knowledge. 2. Strong SQL skills and understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous operations for building scalable systems. 3. Ownership of quality outcomes, understanding the test pyramid (unit, integration, E2E), and building stability into the SDLC. 4. Curiosity about the frontier of engineering and the responsible integration of AI tools. 5. Modeling excellence and taking responsibility for team deliverables, while evolving code review processes. 6. Balancing the need for speed with long-term stability, actively managing technical debt. 7. Acting as a peer to Product Management, providing clarity on risks and suggesting emerging technologies. 8. Passion for continuous learning and elevating team standards. 9. Aligning technical decisions with the goal of supporting our mission.
