Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance Neumo's Tax Administration SaaS applications. In this role, you will analyze legislative, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements across Tax Administration products, including Business License Online and RDSNet. Implement compliant updates to meet state and local tax mandates. Write clean, well-designed, maintainable code following established standards. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application and database components. Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies, including planning, estimation, and retrospectives. Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver prioritized work. Perform functional validation and support testing efforts to ensure system stability. Document changes and implementation details where appropriate. Support production systems and assist with issue resolution and root-cause analysis. Apply best practices for reliability, maintainability, and security within existing application architectures. Provide continuity and technical ownership in areas previously supported in a contractor capacity. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required. 2. Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in enterprise or SaaS environments. 3. Experience developing web-based applications using .NET technologies (C# preferred) and working with relational databases (SQL Server preferred). 4. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. 5. Experience supporting applications in production environments and troubleshooting performance or integration issues. 6. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD pipelines is preferred. 7. Experience working with government, tax, licensing, financial systems, or other regulated industries is a plus. 8. Required Experience developing and supporting enterprise application systems 9. Hands-on experience with legacy and modern programming languages (e.g., VB.Net, C#, JavaScript, or similar) 10. Experience working with SQL-based databases 11. Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 12. Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, React or Vue 13. Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies 14. Ability to analyze requirements and deliver compliant, production-ready solutions 15. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
