Senior Software Engineer, API Gateway

Job Description

Join Five9's team and help build the next generation of their modern SaaS platform. Play a vital role in developing highly available, scalable, and reliable microservices. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in API management. Collaborate with development teams to ensure APIs are well-documented. Design, develop, and maintain the API Developer Portal. Design, implement, and manage API Gateway solutions. Monitor and analyze API traffic to identify performance bottlenecks. Troubleshoot and provide production support when needed.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in API/Java/Spring technologies. 2. Experience with API Gateway platforms (e.g., APIGee). 3. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining API Developer Portals. 4. Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call production support rotation. 5. Familiarity with OAuth2 is advantageous. 6. Practical experience with a major public cloud platform, GCP preferred.
