Senior Software Development Engineer

Job Description

CVS Health is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems. This role involves applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects. The candidate will code, lead work, coordinate with stakeholders, and serve as a technical owner accountable for application strategy, performance, and future enhancements. Working in an Agile environment, you will lead the design of efficient, user-friendly software products to support business needs. You will also support the business and technical understanding of the customer experience, back-end technologies, and business operations, managing multiple work sets in a committed timeline.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment. 2. 5+ years experience in Developing Mainframe, Cobol, DB2 and Java applications in Spring boot, Spring MVC. 3. 3+ years of experience in Building APIs and services using REST. 4. 3+ years of experience in developing SOAP, Restful and MQ based web services using Spring Boot. 5. 3+ years of experience in Batch, DB2 and MQ. 6. 3+ years of experience in building, testing, and deploying code to run on Mainframe and cloud infrastructure. 7. Strong leadership experience. 8. Experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies. 9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. 11. Capability to mentor junior and mid-level engineer resources. 12. Proficient with communication across multiple levels of an organization. 13. Ability to multi-task and rapidly switch context between dynamic project priorities. 14. Ability to navigate the technical teams to support the application with new initiatives and programs. 15. Experience in Creating Angular / React JS UI Applications. 16. Working knowledge with functional, imperative, and object-oriented languages and methodologies. 17. Cloud development experience in Azure OpenShift Cloud. 18. Conduct design code and test case peer reviews. 19. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 20. Experience in Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, GIT, and other DevOps principles. 21. Experience in Endeavor, Mainframe as well as UCD UDeploy. 22. Strong skills in design and solution engineering across both on premises and cloud infrastructure as well as Mainframe CICS, DB2 infrastructure
