Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Join Akamai Technologies as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and play a crucial role in enhancing our Cyber Security SaaS platform. You'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting Kubernetes platforms and employing infrastructure as code (IaC) practices with Terraform and GitOps, leveraging ArgoCD for automation. Your responsibilities include refining tooling, logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to boost observability. Dive into coding internal tools using languages like GoLang and Python, tackle platform challenges, and team up with Development and Research to drive platform improvements. You'll also contribute to the development of AI agents that accelerate R&D and enhance engineering efficiency.

Qualifications

1. Extensive experience as an SRE, DevOps engineer, or similar tech role. 2. Proficient in Linux administration and troubleshooting. 3. Strong mindset for automating manual processes using Python or Golang. 4. Experience with container orchestration projects, specifically Kubernetes. 5. Familiarity with major cloud vendors such as GCP, Azure, or AWS. 6. Experience in building and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.). 7. Innovative problem-solving skills and quick learning ability. 8. Ability to manage complex cross-functional teams on technical projects.
