Senior Shopify Developer – Apps, Themes, AI Workflow

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to focus on app development, theme customization, and AI-assisted workflows. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Shopify apps, working with Shopify Admin GraphQL, implementing integrations, debugging production issues, implementing and extending themes, building storefront features, setting up Shopify stores, and utilizing AI tools to speed up delivery while maintaining high code quality.

Qualifications

1. Senior Shopify app development experience. 2. Comfortable with Node.js, Shopify CLI, Admin GraphQL, and webhooks. 3. Strong Shopify theme development skills with Liquid, sections/blocks, and JSON templates. 4. Proficiency in AI workflow and efficient development with tools like Cursor. 5. Ability to verify, test, and ensure code quality in AI-generated code. 6. Experience setting up basic Shopify stores. 7. Understanding of Shopify fundamentals (settings, markets, shipping/taxes, payments, emails). 8. Self-managed and disciplined with strong communication skills. 9. Git/PR workflow proficiency. 10. Experience shipping apps to multiple stores / environments.
