Senior Sales Engineer – Pre-Sales
Job Description
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll be a pivotal expert on Checkly and the broader monitoring landscape. Your mission involves spearheading the Monitoring as Code movement while addressing tangible customer challenges. Collaborating with our most valued customers during the pre-sales phase, you will guide potential clients through technical evaluations of Checkly, from initial demos to seamless implementations, taking full ownership of the process. By directly engaging with customers, you'll gather insights to share with Product and Engineering, contributing to Checkly's evolution. Additionally, you'll enhance technical documentation and refine processes, ensuring our platform remains top-notch. Early on, you'll deepen your understanding of our platform through Customer Support involvement, gradually assisting as needed, to best understand our customers' needs.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role: 1. Possess strong technical skills to read, write, and debug code (ideally Javascript/Node.js). 2. Bring relevant experience in a Solutions Engineering role, preferably within a dev-tools SaaS setting. 3. Utilize AI tools to expedite customer-facing tasks, such as researching prospect environments and generating tailored demo code. 4. Be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote-first work setup, with a knack for connecting with colleagues. 5. Exhibit exceptional empathy and dedication to customer success. 6. Maintain a proactive mindset to cultivate enduring partnerships with Checkly's clientele. 7. Demonstrate excellent English communication skills. 8. Be located within the US (ET or CT time zones).
