Senior QA Engineer – Payments

Job Description

As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our payment solutions. Your responsibilities include: 1. Crafting and executing comprehensive test strategies and plans for web and mobile features. This includes designing test cases, checklists, and prioritizing risk-based coverage in alignment with regulatory requirements. 2. Performing manual testing, including exploratory, functional, regression, and acceptance testing, across various environments and devices. 3. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Support to define acceptance criteria and providing valuable quality feedback during discovery. 4. Maintaining detailed test documentation, generating actionable bug reports, and effectively communicating quality metrics and release risks to stakeholders. 5. Proactively identifying opportunities to improve QA processes, introducing practical checklists, and collaborating with engineers to enhance testability and automation coverage.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have: 1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA within web product teams, ideally in fintech or regulated domains. 2. Proven experience with exploratory, functional, regression, and acceptance testing. 3. The ability to create and execute clear, reproducible test cases. 4. Familiarity with APIs, basic backend concepts, and CI/CD practices. 5. Experience using bug-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Jira). 6. Basic knowledge of testing and browser devtools. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Russian.
