Senior QA Engineer, C++
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to manage the quality assurance process. You will develop and implement test plans and strategies that address functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Participate in release planning and product roll-out. Perform manual and automated testing ('black' and 'grey' box methods). Execute application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing. Write and maintain flexible automated test scripts to enhance back-end QA automation. Identify, track, and analyze recurring issues and defects, developing solutions to prevent recurrence. Communicate product readiness, quality metrics, and results to the Quality Assurance Management and project team. Proactively identify gaps in QA processes, developing solutions and promoting continuous improvement.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applications systems design, or a related field. 2. 12+ years of experience in software quality assurance with strong QA process knowledge. 3. Extensive testing skills and experience with commercial software development processes (SaaS or ASP) for browser-based, client/server, and database-driven applications on Unix/Linux, Windows. 4. Proven project management experience in delivering multiple testing engagements using Agile methodologies, preferably in a global organization. 5. Expertise in RDBMS and NoSQL databases, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries. 6. Ability to develop and implement test automation strategies. 7. Proficiency in Python, GitHub/SVN, and test management tools like QTEST, JIRA, and Quality Center. 8. Experience testing and validating C++ applications. 9. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is desirable. 10. Experience with migration, upgrade, integration, and end-to-end testing. 11. Familiarity with performance tools (e.g., Apache JMeter) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
