Job Description

The Senior QA Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. This individual will work independently, employing various testing methodologies including manual, batch, and automated approaches. They will meticulously test application and infrastructure changes, correlating them to the intended business outcomes, and provide essential support for QA test environments. The analyst will thoroughly test software to identify and resolve any defects, adhering to established processes and tools in the creation of comprehensive test plans and test cases. They will document problems diligently and collaborate to find effective solutions, reporting progress on issue resolution to management. Furthermore, the Senior QA Analyst will recommend improvements to existing procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. Key to this role is a strong understanding of QA methodology and its integration into the Software Delivery Lifecycle. The analyst will solve a range of complex problems, analyze potential solutions using established procedures, and interact primarily with internal company contacts. They may also engage in infrequent inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters. This position operates under general supervision, with work reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or 8 – 11 years of equivalent work experience. 2. 2 – 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. 3. Comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies. 4. Proficiency in MS Office applications. 5. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. 6. Demonstrated strong technical and analytical capabilities. 7. Adaptability in a dynamic work environment, with the ability to learn quickly and solve problems effectively. 8. Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work and guide others during time constraints to meet deadlines. 9. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs. 10. Ability to mentor and train small teams. 11. Knowledge of automated test tools and/or programming languages is beneficial.
