Senior Project Engineer

Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Project Engineer to be the main technical contact for teams, vendors, and clients. Responsibilities include: - Addressing RFIs, pinpointing technical deficiencies, aiding meetings, and managing design revisions and clarifications. - Aiding pre and post-award contract evaluations to define technical criteria, deliverables, and adherence risks. - Scrutinizing product records, blueprints, and reports to gain technical proficiency and promptly identify and resolve design, setup, and operational hurdles. - Formulating project-specific Bills of Materials (BOMs) and synchronizing technical demands and permissions with vendors. - Devising commissioning and test strategies grounded in contract stipulations, supporting Factory and Field Acceptance Testing (FAT/FIT), and contributing to troubleshooting during commissioning. - Monitoring technical concerns, compiling weekly technical summaries, preparing technical submissions, and crafting acceptance test reports for client approval. - Staying abreast of industry norms and optimal practices.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or industrial electrical project engineering. 3. Knowledge of energy storage systems, including batteries and inverters. 4. Experience with project engineering processes, including technical document control, vendor coordination, and submittal preparation. 5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 6. Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, and network infrastructure. 7. Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA). 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal teams. 9. Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed for site assessments, commissioning support, and customer meetings.
