Senior Power BI Developer – RPA Analytics

Job Description

As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for RPA operations, delivery metrics, and business KPIs. You'll construct reports to monitor UiPath bot performance, including automation success rates, exception handling, queue throughput, and SLA adherence. You'll also create consolidated views integrating data from multiple sources, translating business needs into actionable visualizations. You will extract data from UiPath Orchestrator APIs, Insights module, and Elasticsearch logs, integrating it with data from Jira and Azure DevOps. Connecting additional data sources like Excel, SQL Server, REST APIs, and SharePoint will also be part of your role. Building and maintaining Power Query/M transformations and robust data models, developing and optimizing DAX measures for complex KPI logic, and defining standard KPIs like automation ROI and bot uptime are crucial. You will collaborate with RPA CoE, project managers, and business analysts, setting up automated data refresh schedules and ensuring data accuracy, lineage, and documentation. Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and conducting peer reviews are essential for governance. Furthermore, you will partner with RPA developers, present dashboards to leadership, and conduct training sessions for dashboard users.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field. 2. 5-8 years of Power BI development experience (Desktop, Service, Gateway, Report Server). 3. Advanced DAX proficiency: time intelligence, CALCULATE, iterators, variables. 4. Expertise in Power Query/M for data transformations. 5. Strong data modeling skills: star schema, snowflake, composite models. 6. Experience with Power BI Embedded or paginated reports (SSRS/RDL) is a plus. 7. Proficient in connecting Power BI to Jira and Azure DevOps. 8. Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Dataverse, SharePoint, and REST API connectors. 9. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or Power Automate is a plus. 10. Understanding of project delivery metrics: sprint velocity, defect density. 11. Experience tracking operational KPIs in RPA or IT service delivery contexts. 12. Ability to define metric logic with stakeholders.
